Duane Welch
Vice President
Duane Welch, a licensed customs broker, is the vice president of import operations at Charter Brokerage. He attended the University of Florida and graduated from the University of South Florida, where he earned a degree in management. He joined Charter in 2008.
Mr. Welch is based in Houston, with oversight of import operations for all modes of transportation. He takes a lead role on all import operations in the U.S. and Canada and actively participates in Petroleum CEE updates with importers and CBP.
He directly supervises the managers of ocean, rail, pipeline, and truck imports. His responsibilities also include client outreach and customs compliance training, including coverage of imports, exports, free trade agreements, and other compliance issues.
Prior to work in the customs brokerage field, Mr. Welch spent 12 years in sales and management roles with C.H. Robinson Worldwide, a leading third-party logistics and supply-chain management provider.
