Matthew D. Anderson
President and Chief Operating Officer
Matthew Anderson, an attorney, is the president and chief operating officer of Charter Brokerage. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama and his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston.
Mr. Anderson specializes in customs compliance, customs controversies, foreign-trade zones, duty drawback, trade agreements and the import, export, classification and valuation of petroleum, petrochemical and chemical products. Mr. Anderson brings more than 20 years of experience in international trade, including as senior counsel for a multinational energy company, as a manager of trade advisory services at accounting firms and as a legislative aide for trade issues in the U.S. Senate.
Mr. Anderson is a regular speaker and panelist at various trade conferences, including API Customs, API Tax, AAEI and NAFTZ.
