Charter is licensed as a customs broker by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and provides complete customs and consulting services for companies importing into and exporting from Canada. Our office in Calgary is staffed with licensed customs brokers and experienced professionals who have the expertise to guide our clients through specific Canadian requirements, whether substantive, documentary or procedural.
Charter is recognized as an industry leader in Canada for its expertise and record of accomplishment concerning the eligibility of Canadian petroleum products for duty-free treatment under USMCA. Charter has worked closely with CBSA on behalf of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) to design and implement administrative solutions to the origin issues that have prevented shippers from documenting compliance with USMCA requirements. Charter also has engaged in industry outreach with the Canadian petroleum industry to explain the requirements for this important trade preference.
