Lisa Carpenter, a licensed customs broker, is a vice president at Charter Brokerage. Earning her Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Houston, she has more than 17 years of experience in trade compliance.

Previously, Ms. Carpenter led a trade-compliance team for a major oil-and-gas company and developed and managed a trade-compliance group for an international shipping company. Ms. Carpenter currently serves on various committees for associations that represent the petroleum and chemical industries.

Ms. Carpenter focuses on compliance matters related to the import and export of petroleum products, including valuation and free-trade agreements.
